I might have to switch the account which receives it, but I got my first paycheck last week via direct deposit because my new company asks us to fill out that paperwork before we even start.
One thing that has always bothered me was losing a few days worth of interest because I was sending my paycheck to a brick and mortar bank. Now that I can do direct deposit to my ING Checking account, I’m very happy. It’s faster access for paying all of my bills and stuffing money into my savings account.
It’s the little things that make life convenient.

oh heck yeah. My money hits my account the day BEFORE pay day. My company mandates direct deposit for all employees: rumor has it one of our software engineers just … didn’t bother cashing his paper checks, leading to a big problem for the accountants.
I’ve been on direct deposit since my first job. Wouldn’t have it any other way!
