I spent very little in California till the last day when I went shopping at the mall to hang out and run some errands.
Expenses:
Potatoes and carrots from the boutique grocer. (The only one I know how to drive to by myself without anyone in the car with me.) ($6ish)
I bought a pair of earrings for myself. ($30.66)
Oven mitts as a present ($20)
Nordstrom Cafe lunch ($21)
Take out dinner ($41.50)
I did buy a few other small items at the airport before I left, but I spent less than $120 for three days in CA. Not bad. I left with $170 and I came back with enough to get me through some errands around town.
Add on about $360 for airfare, $6 in-flight snack, $32 for purchases at the airport and my total trip for 72 hours was about $502. Not too bad.
