I picked out a new dress coat for ~$150 and a new no-iron dress shirt in a dark blue pattern for ~$50. I had a coupon for $25 so I saved myself the cost of shipping and tax. The balance was just a hair under $199.
Only one item left to buy, dark dress shoes. I hate shoe shopping. Unlike other people, I can’t do Zappos. I have to see them, touch them, walk in them. My friend sent me an amazing website, Duo Boots, for boots and shoes out of the UK. But I am not sure I can justify the cost yet. Low heeled boots for everyday would be excellent. Near daily wear would justify the cost. So would pushing off the purchase till after the new year.
Other than the clothing, Monday was a No Spend Day. I took my lunch to work, made dinner, packed my lunch for the next day. I have curb my spending somewhere. This week almost all dining will be cooked at home, else provided. One exception is a PF Blogger happy hour hosted by Craig from Budget Pulse. I am excited, but I hope the dog doesn’t pee everywhere while I’m out. (Trip home beforehand is precluded by insane DC traffic.)
