I am a DC resident.
Apparently I used to have DC license, but I don’t recall having one before I moved into Virginia. But I do and it was reinstated.
How much did dealing with DC cost me?
$35 for new birth certificate
$450 in superficial car repair to meet their inspection rules
$35 for inspection
$26 for new title
$144 for new tags and 2 year registration
$44 for a new license
$30 for a residential parking permit
Grand total: $746 just to move into DC
That’s $750 less cash I have to renovate. Very unhappy about this.

so i take it you won’t be brandishing yourself with a DC Flag tattoo as yet?
J. Money – Actually, I *would* get a DC state flag tattoo. I like DC a lot. I just hate DMV.
Thanks for sharing the $ numbers for moving a car into DC. I am getting a car soon from out of state and the info was helpful.
