Boyfriend and I have shopped long and hard via Craigslist and we finally found one at a good price.
We picked it up on Friday night from a nice couple in Alexandria. It was a little too small for their new house after they moved out of a small apartment.
Whenever we looked at new buffets they were too large, had drawers in the middle section, or were just so damned expensive (upwards of $400). Often the colors were totally wrong too. I think we’ve been looking for a buffet for 2 months. Finally, it came through for $110.
The doors almost match boyfriend’s kitchen cabinets, so it’s worked out really well. It already houses my Craigslist stand mixer, cheap covered casserole, toaster, rice cooker, crockpot, blender, stick blender, thermos, etc. It’s not perfect-perfect, but it’s pretty perfect.
