I have moved my meters. My Save-O-Meter is down to 4% right now. I started liquidating it to pay down my credit cards and cover my travel expenses to CA this month for my father’s 70th birthday.
The flipside is that I got to move my Debt-O-Meter to 24%! I’m very excited about this since I’m finally making some progress in a permanent way. Even though my Save-O-Meter is down by quite a bit, I am receiving a bonus today from work and I will be socking that away to cover the rest of my expenses for the CA trip as well as replenish my savings.
I expect at the end of March, I will be able to nudge my Debt-O-Meter even further.
ps- Even though I had to reduce my Save-O-Meter, by paying down my credit cards and saving myself interest, I am coming out ahead.
