The addendum to the treadmill post is that I am too cheap to buy new clothes. I kind of resent letting myself get fat so I will remind myself with tight fitting clothes that I need to hit the treadmill.
I don’t plan on boring anyone to death with how much I’ve run, etc. I plan on keeping a private running diary, mostly to ensure that I am actually using the damned thing and not letting it become a towel rack. (Which I wouldn’t since it’s nowhere near where I’d use a towel, bath or kitchen).
I used to belong to a gym, but I know what I need to do and that doing it is free. Time is expensive. Paying for a trainer’s time is incredibly expensive.
Lack of self-discipline is equivalent to stupidity in some way which is why I know my lack of strict budgeting is slightly stupid too. But we’re going to try this treadmill thing out for now. Its benefit will be seen in the winter when I can still run indoors without an asthma attack from cold air ripping up my bronchial tubes. No inhaler needed and no ER visits. Yet another huge cost savings for having a free treadmill.
So if I am going to pay for exercise, it’ll be for some ice skating!
P.S. – I almost forgot to mention that I have a lot of workout clothes which are too small, but I have what I need right now. I might need to buy an additional exercise garment till I slim back down to fit my old stuff, but I resent Under Armour’s ridiculous cost. I love their tops, but I hate paying through the nose for them. (And no, the outlet in Leesburg is not cheap enough for me. I want free dammit and free is hard to get.)
I might want a new set of insoles though. I can tell my arches need more support after just a few miles.

Don’t cheap out on the footwear! Get the insoles. Otherwise you’ll hurt yourself and stop using the treadmill entirely. TGood ones like Superfeet will last a year, and they work! The green ones saved my treadmill career.
I refuse to let my body get too big for my clothes. I’m more active and more concerned about what I eat because I am NOT buying more clothes because of weight fluctuations.
I don’t want to buy new clothes either. Whether I am smaller or larger. So I stay the same. Altho, I could probably stand to loose a few pounds. *Sigh* I have an elliptical machine in there that is begging to be used. Just no discipline right now. It will get there tho, one day. Who knows, maybe today… erm… tomorrow.
