Very very mundane. There’s a lot going on at work, plus the holidays this weekend, so there was no post yesterday and probably light post for the rest of the week.
Friday night: Guestlisted for club. Spent $4 for water + $1 for tip. HA! Pregamed at a friend’s house. There was vodka, cranberry juice and ramen. I brought the limes. 69 cents each. 4 total. I hate to be an empty handed guest and limes make the drink. A cute boy bought me a cocktail at the bar, so the club got something from someone rather than close to nothing from me. (I know I have to spend money to keep a club open, but I try to keep it cheap.)
Saturday: No Spend Day. Hit the dance floor hard for DJ Dan the night before. Spent all day recovering on the couch, reading books, snacking on whatever was in the pantry. Very good. Missed out on a houseparty, but it was better this way.
Sunday: Back to Leesburg Outlet for Christmas shopping. Looked at maternity clothes for my friend who’s preggers. Cannot wait till she has baby. The cool thing was that the luggage piece I wanted for my mom was cheaper than it was two weeks ago, however, when I called my mom to double check what she wanted, she told me the dishwasher is broken. (perfect timing before the holidays. oy vey.) So I guess the Sears gift card I got from my sibling will go to my mom for *her* dishwasher, on top of the luggage. Whew. Emergencies emergencies. I’ll be cashing out one of my emergency fund CD’s in January when it expires to help cover the dishwasher. There is currently no sign of a bonus from my company next March, which is a bit troublesome.
The good thing is that all my shopping is done. No gifts for sibling and spouse. Gracing them with my presence is gift alone. Not to mention the cost of flight and rental car out of my pocket. New outfits for the babies and short of the dishwasher, my parents are also getting the gift of my presence and chauffeuring since we’re being put up at a hotel for the holidays. There’s no room at the inn.
I might buy a gift or two for the guys who work with me. (There’s two.) And a stray other presents for my knitter friends. But that’s it. I’m done!
