1) I found the missing iPod Nano. It was in a purse I use only during the summer. I wanted to take that a barbecue yesterday and found the Nano in it. Dead battery though. I won’t sell it since I think I might be riding the bus more frequently now that I know a couple of useful routes to ride.

2) I am the blogger for whom Clever Dude moved a motorcycle. The unexpected nature of the transfer is costing me quite a bit, but in the end, it’s better to do it. I’m still in the process of moving it officially, so I will eventually put a tally out there of the interstate transfer expenses, but not for a while yet. (She is a cute little bike, isn’t she?) The title is clean and I visit the DMV this week to take the written exam for my permit.

3) I got the papers for tuition reimbursement and the official word that it will be part of my next paycheck disbursement in two weeks. THANK GOD. That’s nearly $3K I can shave off my credit card balances very quickly!

4) Medical FSA. I think this is going to need a separate post, but I got drama going on with that one too. I’ll know better in a week how it’s going to play out, but I thought I’d mention it now so I wouldn’t forget about it later.

Have fun! And be sure to practice before taking out on the road in traffic. It’s not usually the rider themselves or the bikes that are dangerous, it’s the drivers of the cars who aren’t paying attention.

That said, bikes are a great way to travel. They’re very economical too!

Lawd child, you never cease to amaze me! A knitter, a shoe loving girlie girl, Ms Bettie Crocker, and now Evel Knievel. Go ‘head girl! LOL

Good luck with the DMV exam!

Mapgirl, I remember you once left a comment on a motorcycle related post on my blog

“Wish me luck. One of my 2007 goals is to get my riding license for the bike I bought last year!”

I did wish you luck that time, but it doesn’t seem you have used it yet. Probably it’s easier to get your license in Texas – people are cool in that part of the country – and they love motorcycles.

Golbguru: I’m a bit of a slow mover sometimes. But I am making progress. I only have to replace my helmet because I have a full kit of gear now. I attempted once to get a license in MD, but now that I live in VA, it will be easier.

Wow you ride a motorcycle! That sounds so much fun. One of my friends bought a used motorcycle to commute from the suburbs to SF for work and it’s amazing how much time he saves not getting on and off BART. And the gas mileage is pretty good.

I’m interested in seeing your post on medical FSA. I haven’t had problems yet with reimbursement though it’s taken them a month to reimburse me for some expenses. I mailed my paperwork in instead of faxing because the faxes were getting clogged and they were confused.
