I usually find that the extra 30 minutes through NJ are well worth it; I admit I hate driving around NYC. Anyway... The EZ-Pass tag is worth every penny. I used to live in PA and had to pay $1/month for the tag, while using it only a few times a year. But it's well worth it on the East Coast, even for non-commuters, especially nowadays when you can pay even parking at airports with it. It's a great solution. I don't understand why D.C. didn't adopt it for parking fees, using their proprietary system instead. mapgirl,

I use mine daily on my commute, but my friend doesn't. But we can go get extra mounting strips and use my tag on his car and he doesn't have to get one.
