I buy all my stuff at thrift stores expect food and personal items that is where I get my clothing, jewelry, shoes, bags, etc... The one piece of jewelry I do wear is a slipper pendant, in Hawaii a lot of people were hawaiian style jewelry (island style) but one piece of jewelry that I have seen a lot of is the newest a longest trend as with the hawaiian style jewelry is the slipper pendant there are so many versions that it's like we each are wearing one of a kind. I luv mine it's sterling silver with pink stones that I wear with everything. If you want to know what I am talking about visit www.nahoku.com I don't work for them so I am not trying to sell anything by posting the website I just luv jewlery so I share good websites with people often.

I buy all my clothing and accesories (and almost everything else expect food and personal items) at thirft stores so even if I buy a lot it's cheaper then shopping at regular stores, I wear only one necklace too, since I live in Hawaii most people have the exact same jewlery local style jewelry as most people who live here call it but the one piece I have see a lot of people wearing is a slipper pendant, there are so many different varities of these slipper pendants that it's like you're actually wearing one of a kind. If you need to know what I am talking about go to www.nahoku.com.

I couldn't agree with you more! Not to mention that the accessories are the really expensive part of most outfits. Since I get many of my clothes for $1 at the thrift store, my shoes and my belt are usually the most expensive thing I am wearing. (I also stick to good jewelry, mostly gifts or inherited.)

I don't think I look too scrappy, but you can see a few pictures on my blog and judge for yourself.
