Updated the net worth
I updated the graph tonight. I am positive that it went up. I’m a little bummed out that it didn’t go up more. I must have messed up some calculation last month on my mortgage since it went up instead of down. But I know my actual mortgage statement doesn’t arrive for another week. I usually guesstimate the smaller second trust amount. It’s not very far off.
As Lent begins, I am asking myself how I can spend less. I really do need a moratorium on spending. Winter season is the worst for me because all my immediate family birthdays fall between the winter solstice and the vernal equinox + 2 days. I had a bad Christmas spending hangover this year. (Along with a mild post Mardi Gras hangover this morning.)
I could run the spending report in Quicken, but I doubt the trends would tell me anything I don’t know. I spent a lot on yarn because it was 65% off. I spent a lot on clothes this month and I am not to buy anything more this spring. I must continue to talk myself out of getting new spring or summer wardrobe shoes. I can’t buy any new video games until I finish Tokobot, which I am not liking at the moment, so that should last me a while. I dine out too much, but I have a pest issue in my building and I am avoiding making any food or mess to get rid of them.
I just bought a ton of frozen dinners tonight. I hope to pick up some more tomorrow night on the way home and fill the freezer. It’s my favorite. Stouffer’s Lean Cuisine is on sale for $2.00 a box. In the interest of FDR’s, I will be reviewing some old favorites and a couple new ones I’ve never had before which were buy one get one free. Please look for new reviews in the next week or so.
Ok kids. Time for bed. I’ll post up Part II of how to buy gas in the morning before work.
